Dystopia is supposed to be a genre, not a lifestyle! Our current situation is actually driven by an abundance of caution. We are collectively responding to the demand the pandemic would create on our hospitals and health care system if the people who are most at risk actually were affected. For most of us, it would be a gentle flu. For people with compromised immune systems and/or compromised lung health, it can be more serious.
So, we are all social distancing ourselves to keep the compromised well. And maybe that IS the lesson here: we are inconveniencing ourselves for the benefit of others.
In the meantime, pull out your list of things you can’t usually get to and use your time for those. (I keep trying to get to other projects, but somehow I keep cooking instead:). But, I DO plan to “finish” my crochet projects. I think there are 8 active at the moment!:)
